Joe Sugiyama

Joe joined Arctaris in 2024 and serves as Principal of Real Estate and Portfolio Management He is responsible for evaluating development and acquisition opportunities, managing the firm’s
real estate portfolio, and overseeing active construction. Additionally, Joe ensures constructability, manages contracts and design, and conducts site due diligence. Joe has over 12 years of professional experience in real estate development in the United States and Europe, with a focus on multifamily and student housing projects.

Prior to joining Arctaris, Joe was the Executive Vice President of Development at CA Ventures, where he oversaw all facets of development operations, from pipeline management to construction and turnover. During his tenure at CA Ventures, Joe managed nearly $3 billion in real estate developments globally. He also enriched his expertise during a two-year stint at the firm’s London office, focusing on student accommodations and development processes abroad.

Joe holds a BSE in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Katherine Mize Iriarte

Katherine joined Arctaris in 2021 and serves as a Vice President. She is responsible for all phases of the investment process and management of portfolio companies. Prior to joining Arctaris, Katherine was an Associate in the Global Healthcare Investment Banking team at Goldman Sachs where she focused on early-stage tech-enabled healthcare companies with
mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and various equity issuances and debt financing transactions. Prior to that, she worked at an early-stage healthcare technology company as it transitioned from a startup incubator through raising seed capital. Katherine began her career on Capitol Hill as an advisor to U.S. Senator Tim Scott, a co-author of the Opportunity Zone
legislation, and U.S. Representative Reid Ribble.

Katherine received a BS from College of William and Mary and an MBA from MIT Sloan.

Peter Owen

Peter joined Arctaris in 2023 and serves as a Vice President. He is responsible for all phases of the investment process and management of portfolio companies, with a particular focus on the  broadband vertical.
Prior to joining Arctaris, Peter spent 9 years with Granahan McCourt Capital, a Dublin-based private equity firm specializing in the Telecoms, Media and Technology space. At Granahan McCourt, Peter helped lead both the acquisition and exit of investments, capital raises, and worked closely with portfolio company management teams to implement value-add strategies and develop company specific KPIs.
Peter has worked on significant broadband investments including Ireland’s National Broadband Plan, a State-sponsored initiative to deploy high-speed fiber connectivity to over 550k homes and businesses throughout rural Ireland, and Enet, Ireland’s largest open access network provider. He has also worked on investments in the satellite communications, digital media,and data industries.
Peter holds a BS in Finance from Georgetown University. In his free time he likes to travel, cook, and play fetch with his two dogs, Mango and Mochi.

Sebastian Dannhoff

Sebastian joined Arctaris in 2025 and serves as a Senior Associate. As a member of the investment team, Sebastian works across the entire deal process and supports portfolio companies in their operational and strategic decision-making.

Prior to Arctaris, Sebastian was an Investment Professional at Fedelta Partners, a Phoenix-based Family Office. Previously, he spent multiple years as a Management Consultant for Boston Consulting Group and Roland Berger in Munich, Germany, focusing on the transportation, infrastructure, industrials, and private equity sectors.

Sebastian earned a BSc in International Business from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. He also holds an MA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University SAIS, where he focused on Security Studies. Sebastian is originally from Germany and in his free time likes to work out, ski, golf, hike, watch soccer, and learn about history and politics.

Kritika Chadha

Kritika is a Senior Associate on Arctaris’ real estate investment team, where she works across the full investment lifecycle, including underwriting, execution, and asset management. Since joining the firm in 2022, she has contributed to over $200 million of investment and development activity, with a focus on mixed-income and workforce housing.

Previously, Kritika was an Equity Research Associate at MFS Investment Management, where she covered public consumer companies and developed fundamental investment recommendations for analysts and portfolio managers. Earlier in her career, she interned in investment banking at Piper Jaffray. Kritika graduated magna cum laude from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business with a B.S. in Finance. She is based in Boston, and outside of work enjoys running, racquet sports, and mentoring young adults through nonprofit work.

Eduardo Sanchez

Eduardo Sánchez joined Arctaris in 2022 and serves as a Senior Analyst. He is responsible for assisting in portfolio management, investments, strategic projects, business operations, and legal & regulatory for the firm.

Prior to Arctaris, Eduardo was an Associate at WS Development where he primarily focused on portfolio management and assisting with large-scale developments (end-to-end) in the New  England area.

Eduardo holds a BA in Political Science and Min or in Management for Social Impact from Boston College. In his free time, he enjoys listening to salsa, exploring the city, and spending time with his family & friends.

Carson Pavelec

Carson joined Arctaris in 2025 and serves as an Analyst. As a member of the investment team, he is responsible for all stages of the deal process and strategic management of portfolio companies.

Prior to Arctaris, Carson was a Consultant at Deloitte within their M&A practice. He primarily focused on financial services clients providing value creation and restructuring services.

Carson holds a B.S. in Finance and Business Analytics from Boston College. Outside of work, Carson enjoys playing golf, hiking, and reading a good book.

Brynn Sanders

Brynn Sanders began her career in the legal department at Bank of America, but a passion for community investing awakened at the U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corporation, where she helped launch its Federal New Markets and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Syndications in 2008. During her tenure, Ms. Sanders’ group placed more than $1 billion in community-enhancing tax credits with third-party investors, and Ms. Sanders herself managed a $1.5 billion portfolio of NMTC investments. In 2013, Ms. Sanders was recruited to Advantage Capital Partners structuring group, where she grew an existing $80 million business line in QALICB consulting and CDE loan fund services to $450 million in four years. She worked closely with investment partners, lenders, and portfolio companies to originate funds, structure closings, monitor regulatory compliance, and manage assets, including troubled asset workouts, among other responsibilities. Ms. Sanders moved to LISC’s New Markets Support Company in 2017 to establish a new business line creating and managing loan funds with both NMTC and non-NMTC focused partners. She also worked with third-party CDEs to assist with outsourced asset management and NMTC application services. To round out her NMTC perspective, Ms. Sanders joined Affordable Equity Partners in 2019 to raise debt and equity capital for the affordable housing firm, working with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC). There, she secured $30 million of structured debt and equity, as well as construction commitment letters, from four new partners despite economic and travel challenges presented by the pandemic. She also wrote two NMTC applications and assisted in deploying and capital raising for their Georgia rural jobs loan fund. Sanders Capital Consulting was formed in 2021 as a woman-owned consultancy to assist firms navigate the complexities of NMTCs.
