Derek joined Arctarisin 2019 and serves as Vice President – Chief of Staff. He assists the Managing Partner with strategic initiatives and is also a member of the investment team where he is responsible for all phases of the deal process including origination, due diligence, structuring, execution, and portfolio company operational and growth strategy.

Prior to Arctaris, Derek was a Senior Analyst at BrightSphere Investment Group where he helped manage a portfolio of investment boutiques with over $250 billion under management. He focused on investment strategy, fund performance, acquisition due-diligence, portfolio management, and global distribution where he helped facilitate the launch of 40 new investment products and assisted with raising $13 billion of assets.

Derek earned a BS in Finance from Elon University, an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and is a CFA Charterholder. In his spare time, Derek enjoys watching his favorite Boston sports teams, playing saxophone, and stand-up comedy.
